About Us

Modus is an independently owned MGA (Managing General Agent). Established in early 2015 by a team of underwriting and e-trading professionals, we provide innovative electronically traded insurance products and solutions for our broker partners. The Modus team has a wealth of e-trading experience across home, landlord and commercial lines of business and we only employ senior staff who are compatible with our unique and streamlined approach.

Modus manages capacity on behalf of a number of selected partner capacity providers and describe ourselves as a “virtual insurer.” We control the majority of the tasks an insurer would such as:

• Distribution channel decisions
• Underwriting strategy (including acceptance and rating)
• Underwriting MI and performance management
• Claims Handling and strategy
